Ashtanga Yoga is a traditional Hatha Yoga system that’s essence is embodied learning. It is personalized and it is transmitted directly from teacher to student.

Through the coordination of breath, asana (postures) and drishti (gazing points), we gain awareness of ourselves through repetition and time. Free breathing with sound is the foundation of Ashtanga practice. Every movement is an inhale or exhale, a concept also known as vinyasa, that creates a meditation in motion with movement following the breath. As we learn through repetition to focus on our breath, it brings us more and more to our present moment and we can experience more clarity and calmness. By learning to control our breath, we can learn to control our mind.
Postures are taught sequentially allowing students to develop at a pace that is suitable to each individual. This makes it ideal for those new to yoga or those with specific physical/health conditions.
